Starting up… or, Down

Starting up… or, Down

First things first, getting off the crack.. sugar that is. Although in my opinion it’s much harder to stop sugar and carbs, but that’s me. You wake up to a new routine, but the withdrawals, they are hell. And if you are like me, donuts are a necessity. Much like breathing, you’d fill that hard to stop too! Okay I’ll admit, no carbs makes me cranky, but the sooner you get caffeine and water in the better. So up and at it let’s cook breakfast!

Day one. Breakfast: The reality is cold turkey is painful, but tapering down makes it sooo much easier. So one slice of toast in the morning for the first couple days can help ease you into it without the keto flu kicking you in butt. I have it with eggs, sausage, and coffee with heavy cream. The coffee is a must! Breakfast is pie, but be aware, no bread after the third day. So enjoy!
